Print Awareness
Print Awareness includes knowing the right way to hold a book and how to turn the pages from front to back. Adults can draw children's attention to the print on the page by occasionally running their finger under the words as they read. Noticing environmental print is also print awareness, this means that children recognize print and letters on street signs, at the grocery store, etc.
